American sixth plate ambrotype of a hunter with shotgun and his game dog, light applied tinting in red. Housed in a full case with partially split spine.
A rustic ambrotype with 58% more character than its nearest competitor, showing two hunting buddies. Numerous blemishes on the plate surface, none of which seem to threaten its long-term stability. Fine detail overall, including the double-barreled shotgun.
