Sixth plate daguerreotype of a girl with long braids and fancy dress. Housed as found in a dark brown period thermoplastic case, Berg 2-64 "Hatching the Egg", inscribed "Miss [A?]armi Burley Received July 8th 1861".   ( Inventory# ib189 )

A beautiful rich image, gilt color has been applied to her necklace. There are a few areas of roughness on the front of the case but no cracks, hinges are tight and it snaps shut well. Attractive blue interior velvet.
