CDV-format albumen print ca. 1870. With reverse studio imprint for "...Thomas Houseworth & Co. 317 & 319 Montgomery St., San Francisco" and period identification in pen "No. 145. J. W. Tucker's jewelry establishment."
Some small flaws, otherwise a rich print in excellent condition. A ladder and other work implements are visible on the street as well as two men standing on the corner under a lamppost. Tucker's window display can be seen and seems to include a variety of metal urns.
