Sixth plate daguerreotype of a father holding a lively young boy, together with a second image of his wife holding a still-younger charge. Each housed in a half case.   ( Inventory# ib807 )

In this case, it looks as if the father himself had to be restrained -- what look like the two ends of a posing-stand clamp protrude on either side of his neck.
