French oval quarter plate daguerreotype of a lovely lady in oval velvet case. With applied coloring in flesh tone and red.   ( Inventory# ib828 )

The image has been skillfully hand-colored on face and hands. Some minor imperfections in the curved cover glass may not be visible in the scan.

The velvet case is overall fresh and attractive, with some moderate wear to the velvet at edges and a few dark marks on reverse.
