Superb half plate daguerreotype of an ethnic Chilean woman circa 1855, by A. Terry. Housed in full case with pad imprinted "A. Terry / Retratista / Santiago y Valparaiso" (Chile). With applied hand-coloring in red and blue.   ( Inventory# ic717 )

The plate is crisply focused and in excellent condition, with original hand-coloring in two colors. Case is likewise clean and well-preserved, hinge has been professionally restored.
