CDV-format albumen print of two Georgian Cossacks, by Abdullah Freres, Constantinople, circa 1870. Imprinted front "Abdullah Freres Phot." and on reverse "Abdullah Freres Photographes de sa Majeste Imperiale Le Sultan [Abdullah Brothers Photographers to his Imperial Majesty the Sultan] / Pera Constantinople" along with characters in Arabic. Inscribed in ink reverse top "Circassians." With a small number in the negative of image lower right "4849".   ( Inventory# ic961 )
