Sixth plate English daguerreotype of a woman with a sewing basket and yarn, with extensive hand-coloring in green, red, blue and flesh-tone. Housed in a full morocco-leather case
A beautifully colored English image. Flesh tones have been rendered with a flesh base and red highlights and the sky is painted with a storm-tossed blue as well as a light gray. The sitter's hair has been colored a reddish-blonde. There is a light mold-spider in the sky above her head and to the right and what appears to be a bit of curtain at the left edge.
