Sixth plate daguerreotype of mother and daughter, anonymous American ca. 1845. Housed in a period brown leather case with green felt pad and exterior wear; outer leather hinge of case repaired.   ( Inventory# ib647 )

A brilliant, rich plate illuminated with a burst of light at center. In excellent, untouched condition. There is a tiny plate imperfection visible at some angles of view, above the mother's head to left.
