Sixth plate daguerreotype of two ladies with an identifying note. Housed in a pictorial leather case with split spine, hand-tinting in pink and gold.   ( Inventory# ib779 )

A very appealing image of friendship, which came with a note which appears to read "Jean ... Watkins on left and Bettie Hearald on right. This was taken when my Mother and Miss Hearald were going to school at young Ladies Academy near Nashville." and on reverse "Nancy Watkins Collins wrote this history."

The plate has excellent detail and shows the detail of the sitters elaborate costume, including a fan and open book.
