Vintage CDV-format albumen print ca. 1867 showing a Chinese giant from the Exposition Universelle, by Maujean and Léopold Dubois. Card imprinted on reverse "Photographie Maujean et Léopold Dubois / 30, Rue du Faubourg St. Honore / 35 Rue de Boissy d'Aglas (Ancienne Rue de la Madeleine) Paris ..." Inscribed reverse in period pen, "Exposition internationale 2 Octobre 1867 Paris" and with Chinese characters in ink brush, perhaps a signature of the exhibitor shown.   ( Inventory# ib832b )

This gent extends down so far on the card that he is covering up the photographer's front imprint.
