Rich albumen print showing Wat Phra Phutthabat, the Temple of the Buddha's Footprint, in Siam (Thailand) circa 1869, attributed Wilhelm J. Burger. Mounted to period board approximately 9 x 11 inches. Board inscribed at top "Siam" and at bottom in pencil "Im Innern Siams" ["In the interior of Siam"]. Print size 7 x 9 inches (18x23 cm).   ( Inventory# ic459a )

A collector kindly provided the location of this image was well as identification to the Austrian photographer, Wilhelm J. Burger, whose trip to Siam took place in 1869.

Condition: Scattered spotting; tonally rich.
