Large, warm-toned, board-mounted photograph showing a pair of mounted horns from a Texas Longhorn steer, with cowboy-themed folk-art pyrography added to their mount, circa 1890. On period board slightly over 11 x 8.5 inches (28x22 cm). Inscribed on reverse of board "H. M. Say's Texas Longhorns. / Mrs. Dr. Mott did the burnt work." The folk-art pyrography on mount shows a toppled cowboy defending himself from an attacking longhorn with drawn pistol, while another cattleman rides up whirling his lasso.

Some surface wear and indentations.
