Frank (Francis) Meadow Sutcliffe was an important figures of late 19th century British photography, noted for his studies of the Whitby fishing community as well as pictorial views of the English countryside.
This exhibit presents eighteen original period prints by Sutcliffe of Whitby Harbor types, studies from the surrounding countryside, and "multiple images" the photographer produced to document and market his images.
