Cabinet-card format albumen print showing the seven Southerland Sisters, by Morris, Pittsburg Pennsylvania, circa 1875. Card imprinted front "Morris / 16 Sixth Street, Pittsburgh" and reverse "Sutherland Family of Seven Sisters / Lockport, N. Y. / Sarah Sutherland / Victoria / Isabella / Grace / Naomi / Dora / Mary / A. Bailey, Manager" and inscribed in purple ink "Miss Florance".   ( Inventory# ic568b )

The seven Sutherland Sisters traveling act showcased the sisters singing and their long, floor-length hair. It also served to advertise a line of hair care products, including hair and scalp wash, hair grower, and "hair fertilizer."
