Vintage Japanese albumen print with applied hand coloring, by Kusakabe Kimbei, early to mid-1880s. Depicting a woman selecting vegetables from a street peddler. Print size 8 x 10.25 inches (20x26 cm).

This uncommon, early print of Kimbei's image predates his studio's later insertion of subject titles and numbers into the negatives. It corresponds to #200 "Vegetable Pedler" in Kimbei's catalog of works.
