Stereo daguerreotype of a bust by Pradier, produced by Antoine Louis Lemaire, Paris circa 1855. With signed copyright notice visible under glass at left of images. Overall dimensions including mount about 3.25 x 6.7 inches (8x17 cm).
The printed notice under image glass reads:
"Toutes les épreuves non revêtues de nos signatures seront considérées comme contrefaçon, attendu que j'ai seul le droit de reproduire tous les 90 modèles des oeuvres de Pradier [et autres], dont S. Marchi est l'éditeur propriétaire"
( "All prints not covered by our signature are to be considered counterfeits, as I alone have the right to reproduce the 90 models of the artworks of PRADIER [and others] of which S. Marchi is proprietary publisher." )
