Gelatin-silver print with overpainting, period news photograph of the French aviator Raymond Delmotte affectionately holding a sweatered dog. Notations on reverse indicating Associated Press copyright and use in a Paris publication May 1935. Dimensions 7 x 5 inches (17x12 cm).
From the warm knit sweater it seems likely that this funky dog accompanied Delmotte on one of his record-breaking flights.
