Quarter plate English daguerreotype of a boy in fancy clothing, with his "skirts" lift to show his bare knees, socks, and flouncy bloomers. With heavy applied coloring in flesh tone, housed in red leather case with heavy wear and broken hinges.   ( Inventory# ia481 )

Guessing by his general appearance and side part of the hair, this is a little boy (in a period little boy's dress). Very rich and detailed plate with only a touch of solarization on some of the brightest white tones.
