Half plate oval French daguerreotype of a personable elderly woman seated in a large chair in a home setting, in original period mount with hook for wall hanging. With applied tinting in flesh tone.   ( Inventory# ia559 )

With this image one feels ushered directly into Granny's presence.

There is one long dull scrape near edge at lower left, in the area of her skirt, and another smaller scratch to the right of it. Both appear to be original to production of the plate.
