Early English ninth plate daguerreotype of a gent by Beard studio. Housed in a flip-top morocco-leather case, BEARD PATENTEE brass mat, and encircling tin enclosure holding daguerreotype, mat and glass. Some wear and stains to exterior of case.   ( Inventory# ib541 )

Some spotting and larger mold spiders on the plate as shown. Sealed with the original beveled-edge cover glass which also has some imperfections.
