Sixteenth plate daguerreotype of lady wearing crucifix and broach ca. 1855, by Charles J. Quinby, New York. Housed in half case, brass mat impressed "QUINBY 385 BROADWAY."   ( Inventory# ib55 )

Truly amazing detail in this tiny image, under magnification the design on her broach can be made out. A few bug bites to the half case, faint pressure mark from reverse to left of her head.
