Quarter plate daguerreotype of gent with straw hat, beard and mustache. Housed in a full pressed-leather case in near-mint condition.   ( Inventory# ib700 )

The gent seems to be quite comfortable in his large wide-brimmed hat and funky, polka-dot bow tie. Light coloring has been applied to his face. There is a black mark in the background alongside his head which appears to be an original plate defect.
