Sixth plate daguerreotype showing a sweet young girl with book, anonymous American circa 1845. Housed in a full leather case with repaired spine, inverted "Wm. Shew / Miniature Case Maker" label in interior.   ( Inventory# ib789 )

An endearing image with applied gilt to spine of book. Plate lightly cleaned with archival electrolysis, some tarnish remains around edges.
