Three vintage gelatin-silver prints of Rio De Janeiro, Brazil ca. 1930, two of them joined prints in panoramic format measuring 6.5 x 17.25 inches (16x44 cm). Print size 6.5 x 8.75 inches (16x22 cm).
The first print of this group shows the famous cable car ascending Sugarloaf mountain, titled in the negative "Rio de Janeiro - O Pão de Assucar."
The second image consists of two prints hinged together to form a panorama taken from Sugarloaf mountain looking inward towards the mainland, with the colossal statue of Christ the Redeemer visible atop Corcovado mountain at center, titled in the negative "Rio de Janeiro - Panorama do Pão de Assucar." The third a pair prints hinged in the center to form a panarama taken from Corcovado mountain looking towards the bay, titled in the negative "Panorama do Corcovado - Rio de Janeiro." (Click on image for a larger view)
