Vintage unmounted albumen print in cabinet-card size, 1880s or 90s, depicting a train engine on the Pike's Peak Railway, Colorado. Attributed to the noted western photographer William Henry Jackson. Image titled in the negative lower left "1071. Timber Line 1[0]500 Feet .. Sea Level." Print size 4.25 x 7.25 inches (11x18 cm).   ( Inventory# ic947.1071 )

This image was found in a series of Colorado views which bore similar numbering and titles. While only some bore the explicit studio identification "W. H. J. & Co." (William Henry Jackson), all the images are presumably his work.
