Roughly CDV-sized tintype of an odd group of five people, including a blurry dog or other creature and one woman facing away from the camera. Circa 1880s. Print size 3.5 x 2.5 inches (9x6 cm).   ( Inventory# id267 )

The strange creature on woman's leg may be some sort of happy active furry lapdog, but if so he has posed so as to appear to have only two legs, a large mouth, and no visible eyes. There looks to be a chain running from the creature to hand of the woman on whose lap it sits.

Good condition with shallow bends, scratch on face of second woman from left.
