Rare cabinet-card format albumen print showing a miniature ice palace flying tiny Canadian, British, and American Flags, modeled after the Ice Castle constructed for the Montreal winter carnival of 1885, by Thomas Nettleton, Montreal, Canada. Card imprint front "T. Nettleton, 55 Bleury Street, Montreal" and "Carnival Eighteen [Eighty] Five."
Online sources give Nettleton's dates at this address as the period 1884-6, and he also advertised the studio in the program for the 1885 carnival.
