CDV-format albumen print circa 1885 showing a shoeshine and newsboy, seemingly stereotyped characters from street-urchin-makes-good novels of the Horatio-Alger type, with shoeshine box bearing the title "ENTERPRISE" in white. Inscribed in ink on front "Leonard & Long" and on reverse bearing photographer's imprint for "F. W. Bacon / 55 East Main St., Odd Fellows' Hall Block, Rochester, N.Y."   ( Inventory# id933 )
