Card-mounted sepia-tone photograph, anonymous English circa 1910, showing a woman in elaborate match advertising costume, with a variety of match placards and a row of matchboxes dangling from bottom of her dress. Image mounted on two layers of thin card in contrasting colors, trimmed to near image edges, dimensions of card about 6 x 4 inches (15.5x10 cm). Print size 5.75 x 4 inches (15x10 cm).   ( Inventory# id936 )

This print was probably originally housed in a "cabinet photograph" style paper folder or larger display sheet, such as came into common use after 1900.
