American sixth plate daguerreotype circa 1855 showing a gentleman leaning against table with cocked head, identified via a paper label on pad of case as "Albert G. Russell". Housed loosely in period union case with missing velvet around image, loose hinges, and other defects.   ( Inventory# ie176d3 )

The daguerreotype appears to retain its original seals and has not been opened. With light dirt and loose material under the glass, image does not appear to be affected.
