Horizontal sixth plate daguerreotype of two women, friends or family, housed in a full case with photographer's imprint on pad reading "J. A. Williams / Newport R.I." Beneath the photographer's name the pad imprint appears to depict the Newport Tower, a mysterious local landmark sometimes attributed to Vikings, but more generally held to be the ruins of a 17th century windmill.
