Unusual, roughly CDV-sized tintype showing a palm tree in San Blas, Mexico circa 1871. With an inscription scratched into reverse reading " 'Our Cocoa' / San Blas Mexico / Nov. 15, 1871 / Y? George". Print size 3.5 x 2.5 inches (9x7 cm).   ( Inventory# ie176t1 )

San Blas lies on Mexico's Pacific coast, somewhat north of Acapulco.

Emulsion of image appears in excellent condition, although there are a number of vertical bends through image right of center.
