Roughly CDV-sized tintype showing three women posed in front of an elaborate painted backdrop, holding a photographer's sign which reads "Good Pictures Taken in All Kinds of Weather". Anonymous American circa 1885. Print size 3.5 x 2.5 inches (9x6 cm).   ( Inventory# ie215 )

the photographer's purloined sign is held upside-down, perhaps in the idea that this would make it right-reading in the image, although of course it doesn't -- all elements of a tintype are laterally reversed. In the close-up image below image has been laterally corrected to make sign legible.
