Cyanotype of a newly manufactured fire engine circa 1900, identified on vehicle as destined for the "Borough of Bantam [Connecticut]." With a plaque visible next to vehicle reading "American-LaFrance Fire Engine Co. Inc. / Elmira, N. Y. / Neg. No. 4948." With three binder holes and a faded inscription in red ink at top edge of image reading "Bantam Conn." Image apparently intended by manufacturer as a record on completion of the engine's manufacture. Print size 8 x 9.75 inches (20x25 cm).   ( Inventory# ie237b )
