Cabinet-card format albumen print circa 1890 showing a western man with tropical-style pith helmet conveyed in a Japanese rickshaw, by S. Ichida, Hiogo, Japan. With ornate bilingual photographer's imprint on reverse, of which the English portion reads "S. Ichida / Photographer / Hiogo, Japan." With an inscription in pencil front identifying the sitter, perhaps as "C. P. Woolworth".   ( Inventory# ie47 )
