Quarter plate daguerreotype of an attractive young lady in front of white background, anonymous American ca. 1855. Housed as found in a black geometric thermoplastic case. With tinting in red and blue to the tablecloth and red to her lips   ( Inventory# ib07 )

The case is in overall in very good condition. A little chipping from edge by pad bottom center and upper right corner on reverse, a touch of roughness on front upper left and in small spots scattered elsewhere. Case snaps shut but only very weakly. The daguerreotype is pristine.
