Engaging sixth plate daguerreotype of a woman in fingers-on-cheek pose, mid-to-early 1840s. Housed in a full leather case with considerable wear, weak spine and loose rails.   ( Inventory# ib508 )

A bit of blush has been applied to her cheeks, plate is very crisp and in excellent condition. There is what appears to be an original scratch or plate flaw above her lower hand.
