English quarter plate ambrotype of a sweet girl with long hair, with applied hand coloring. Housed in a full red-leather case with split spine and considerable loss of the leather due to bug damage.   ( Inventory# ib559 )

The sitter's dress (and eyes) are blue, red has been applied to the table cloth and to give a blush to her cheeks, and her hair seems to be enhanced with yellow or brown. She appears to pirouette towards us on one leg.
