CDV-mounted tintype of deceased girl wearing wreath of flowers circa 1871, perhaps from one of the formerly French regions of the US such a New Orleans. With light applied tinting in pink. Card inscribed on reverse in pencil with child's name, probably "Abbina Legros," and a somewhat garbled French inscription "...decede le 17 mais 1871 age de trois an & sept mois & [21?] jour." ("Deceased May 17. 1871 aged three years & seven months & 21 days.")   ( Inventory# ic526 )
