Vintage unmounted albumen print in cabinet-card size, 1880s or 90s, giving a birds-eye view of the city of Denver, Colorado, with the Colorado State Capitol Building visible in mid ground, framed by the distant peaks of the Rocky Mountains. Attributed to the noted western photographer William Henry Jackson. Image numbered in the negative lower left "245b." Print size 4.25 x 7.25 inches (11x18 cm).
This image was found in a series of Colorado views which bore similar numbering and titles. While only some bore the explicit studio identification "W. H. J. & Co." (William Henry Jackson), all the images are presumably his work.
