Late Consignment - The Blue Dress

Sixth plate daguerreotype circa 1850 showing a girl in blue-tinted dress next to a red-tinted table. Housed in a full leather case with divided spine.
The contrast range in this image appears to be somewhat limited, with "whites" actually being more of a grey tone.
Condition: This consignment image has not been removed from protector and its seals may well be still unbroken. There is some dirt on underside of glass, two brown circular spots appear to be on plate itself, one of the sitters left shoulder.
